ANIMA
Cynthia will perform a piece with the performance group “Anima.” Cynthia is performing a story and song she wrote for her friend, Julie, who was found dead on the streets of L.A. from an over-dose. She is bringing awareness of the need for long term care for the mentally ill and addicted with no place to go except jail or the streets. Her piece is called "Forgiven.”

SPEAKING OF STORIES
Cynthia will perform her story of her first love, a cat named Smoky. This story follows the influence this cat had on her life and makes us look at how our great loves influence us through the years, whether they are parents, lovers or pets.

Free AdmissionCynthia’s award-winning woman one woman show will be presented free to the public as part of Women’s Week. This show is triumphant story of a woman who left a convent – where she went to escape the pain of her life – and became a massage therapist. In laying her hands on over 30,000 people, she discovered the sacredness of ordinary experience and the wisdom of the flesh. The poetry of her story will sing in your blood and touch you to the marrow of your bones.
